Enterprise Community Partners (formerly The Enterprise Foundation) is a leading provider of predevelopment capital and expertise for creating decent, affordable homes in thriving communities. For 25 years, Enterprise has pioneered neighborhood solutions through public-private partnerships with financial institutions, governments, community organizations and others that share its vision. Enterprise has raised and invested $7 billion in equity, grants, and below-market loans and is currently investing in communities at a rate of $1 billion a year. With Enterprise assistance, more than 215,000 affordable homes have been built or preserved. Enterprise has offices in New Orleans and has committed to provide $200 million to help create more than 10,000 healthy, sustainable homes in the Gulf Coast over a five-year period.
LISC is the largest private organization providing technical and financial assistance primarily to non-profit development organizations transforming distressed areas into good places to live, work, do business and raise children. Since 1980, it has raised $7.8 billion from more than 3,200 corporate, foundation and government sources. These resources have helped organizations build or renovate more than 160,000 homes and apartments. LISC’s affiliate, the National Equity Fund (NEF), has invested more than $5.5 billion in Low-Income Housing Tax Credit projects in 250 urban neighborhoods and rural communities. LISC’s Gulf Region Rebuilding Initiative is providing financing and other support to organizations in the Louisiana and Mississippi Gulf Regions while NEF is currently working with some 40 developers in Louisiana. LISC and NEF have offices in Baton Rouge.
